God how corney can these judges get? Some staged kissing circle. The theme is Soul and R&B.
Siobhan Magnus – she’s got a different hairdo every week. I think this song is too low for her and too low key, speaking of key I heard her off key oh boy. I think the judges will love her anyway but I don’t love it. Simon said it sounded like she was running while singing. So the judges all say it wasn’t good but they love her. Everyone boos Simon and always argues with what he says even when they really agree.
Casey James – I liked his song choice and think he sounded pretty good. I really like the raspiness of his voice and that song pulled it out. Omg Ellen felt it was generic. What the hell. Simon loved it and yet again I agree.
Michael Lynche – guess he won’t be using the stage sitting from a chair. Great voice. I don’t think he listened to Ushers advice to connect with the audience and camera. It was creepy and almost felt like Usher was staring right at me. However Mike closed his eyes alot and didn’t connect with anyone. Randy said it wasn’t exciting but it’s good to pull it back now and then. Look these contestants have been doing plenty of that. If they keep doing slow songs I’m gonna start falling asleep instead of watching. Simon said it was the first time he is taking him seriously as an artist. Oookkkkkk. Usher thought he connected, man I’m lost did my channel change?
Di Di Benami – you could tell by her face expression the song affected her. It was a little off here and there but I liked it anyway. Ellen thought it was way dramatic and Kara thought it was overdone. Ok seriosly what do they want from these people. Simon agreed wow I’m in shock. Why did Ryan insist on getting in her personal shit? She obviosly didn’t want to tell people why she choose that song so he basically tells everyone for her.
Tim Urban – interesting choice I don’t see him singing a womans song. So he was told to imagine a girl to feel the song and make it believable by Usher. Sometimes he stared at the camera and it was wierd like he was trying too hard. Sometimes you could feel it but mostly just felt pushed. Lol omg Ellen said he was walking like he was sneaking into a bedroom! So the judges wanna know why he laughs when they tell him how bad he is. What do you want him to do cry? Simon thinks he doesn’t care what they say.
Andrew Garcia – I like his version of the song. If they compare it to the Paula song again I’m gonna scream. I think compared to the last couple weeks it was great and I enjoyed listening to it. Andrew is back says Randy. Ellen almost said it….. Ok when someone says “Dont take this the wrong way.” what they really mean is … I’m about to insult you…. Simon said he is boring as a person. Nice asswipe.
Katie Stevens- wonder if they will bitch about it being an old song. Nice a bit of tude appropriate to the song and a great voice. Wasn’t extremely exciting but not many were or ever are. I don’t think Ellen listens to much of the song but thinks up her funny line to say. She wants her more current SHUT UP!!!!!! They keep arguing about what kind of singer she is why not fucking ask her! That’s right she said she’s gonna listen to herself way to go girl! Btw I agree with Simon
Lee Dewyze – I love what he did to the song! He kicked ass I love it! The judges all agreed enough said. Though i always knew it was there.
Crystal Bowersox – I’m a little sad that Kara is getting her way by her not playing guitar but oh wait she is playing piano. Mmm I felt it with her amazing as usual. She showed she can sing anything it was awesome. I will say though I love Simon for saying what he did. To not let this take away from who she is cause she is amazing with her own style.
Aaron Kelly – he starts off, off. These low notes aren’t good for him. He sounds and looks nervous. It sounded better in the rehersal shot they showed. They know ppl will vote for him anyway.
My bottom: Siobhan and Tim although Katie and Aaron might be in or near bottom.
Ok so updating the next evening…. Katie, Di Di, and Tim. I knew why he smiles even when they judge him. Rediculous what they pick on. Katie got sent back. So full of himself Diddy performing, wonderful. I don’t even know what to say about his new song. Tim makes it through and Di Di is the bottom. Dunno what to say I don’t wanna see her go. I love her song choice, Rhiana. Great damn DVR cut out….. Gotta find out if they saved her or not, I doubt it.

Idol Afterthoughts – Top 11
Mar 25th
Billboard #1′s
I’m watching this on DVR the night after cause well life happens. Of coarse I haven’t heard anything or found out who went home before watching.
Lee Dewyze – “the letter” he changed it up a bit and moved around more than usual, well he isn’t playing guitar so he was able to move more. For the most part I liked it. I love the sound of his voice. Ellen is rediculous with her comparing him to her favorite pen. Simon said he was corney, wow for once I don’t agree with him. I’m not worried about him going home tho.
Paige Miles – “against all odds” aweful from the start. Pitch problems are beyond fixable this is just like listening to fingernails on the chalkboard. I said it to my daughter just before she started singing when she sings low notes she is horrid but she has a good voice if she sings songs for that voice. I guess Ellen didn’t have the heart to be honest. Well then what’s the point of being a judge? I agree that she stopped competing. (voted off)
Tim Urban – “this thing called love” well he sure is trying to be entertaining to the audience. Maybe a little over the top. It was okay voice wise, probably not the best song choice to me. I certainly don’t think he was near as bad as Paige tho regardless. The judges ate him for dinner.
Aaron Kelly – aww he has laryngitis and tonsilitis. It’s been going around all over the place I had it too and couldn’t talk for days. Sucks to happen to them now. “I don’t wanna miss a thing” I think it would have been better if he wasn’t sick. You can tell. But again still better than Paige and she already got the benefit of the doubt while she was sick. I agree Simon 0 chance he’ll go home.
Crystal Bowersox – ok I couldn’t tear myself away to type while she sang. Just awesome! I think the only thing that may slightly hurt her later on is her stationary position on the stage most times. But I don’t even care about that. After Idol, win or loose, I will buy her CD! Ellen said she’s great but there is a distance with her audience and Kara agreed. Crystal said she has something planned for next week
however I do agree with Simon “Dont change”!!!!!!!
Michael Lynche – “when a man loves a woman” great, great voice. He doesn’t really change much in songs tho… Oh well ok there was a little… Yeah talking to myself. I think tho while his voice is great I don’t see what kind of artist he is going to be. What, that is relevant to our time, is he going to sing to be the next Idol?
Andrew Garcia – “heard it through the grapevine” dude what’s up with his hair? He tried to interact with the audience I just wasn’t feelin it. I will always love his voice and what he is capable of but for once im not sold. Kara said he is chasing a moment and it’s messing with his head. Lady you’ve been messing with his head for awhile comparing every song he does to another that he blew everyone away with. Still if he doesn’t start picking the right songs he’s in trouble.
Katie Stevens- “big girls don’t cry” I’m scared for her this is a hard song. Ok so I think it’s the best I’ve heard anyone besides Fergie sing it. She had some pitch issues but it’s a damn hard song on the voice. She didn’t change much so it was kareoke a bit. But she took the judges advice in picking a more youthful song. Completly agree with Simon and will say it again her voice is more suited to older songs.
Casey James – “the power of love” he seems like he’s having fun with it. I think it was a good song choice for his voice. I think he is defenitly more suited for a rock band really. I agree with Simon it was a cover he changed nothing.
Di Di Benami – “your no good” her voice makes any song different she really doesn’t need to try and change it. She wasn’t stiff on stage and I liked it. Pitchy Randy? Really? Ellen wrong song?? Kara thought she was trying to be something she isn’t??? Simon agreed and said it was like a musical. I didn’t think it was awesome but I don’t agree.
Siobhan Magnus – “superstition” woah what a hairdo!!! I feel like I woke up in another time. It’s very distracting. Great voice. Just unsure what I think of her song choice. Simon gave the only negative comments.
My guess is that Paige us going home. That’s who I would send home. Gonna watch the results show now even though I’m tired as he’ll and not been getting enough sleep lately. I gotta see who got voted off. I think I’m gonna cheat and fast forward…. Yeah fast forwarding now….. Yeah Paige. With Tim just missing it.

Season 2:
Ruben Studdard – Winner

David has released an album before Idol and another after winning and has been certified Platinum.
David Archuleta – Runner-up
David has had one album released.
Season 8:

Kris also had a self-released album before Idol. He released one after Idol and it is now able to be certified platinum.
Adam Lambert – Runner-up
Adam released an album with RCA that sold 198,000 copies in the US it’s first week.
So, how well do you think these Idol winners have done? And how about compared to some of the runner-ups? Well now my question of what they have done since has been answered. Though really I thought they would have done more.
Info Source I used cause I’m lazy………….. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_American_Idol_finalists
Don’t take my info for fact as this is what I gathered from what I read.
Idol Afterthoughts – Top 12
Mar 17th
Rolling Stones week. This should be interesting.
Michael Lynche - “Miss You” nice job, he picked a good song and didn’t mess it up. Simon has a point though it was a bit corney. It wasn’t very exciting which I expect more out of the top 12, just not screwing up the song isn’t good enough at this point.
Di Di Benami - “Play with fire” I still love her voice and how it changes a song. She has a good stage presence and got into the song. Haha Simon stumbled on the word “agree”. It must pain him to say that.
Casey James - “Its all over now” hmmm he doesn’t seem loud enough. They screwing with his sound or is he nervous? He has a good voice but I dunno it wasn’t there for me. Kara thinks he’s a rock star. I think she dreams about him playing in her bedroom. Simon said what I thought, an audition performance.
Lacey Brown - “Ruby Tuesday” I really love her voice but I don’t know if her song choice was bad or what. She was out of tune too much for top 12 and it wasn’t very exciting. Randy thought it was the most interesting one so far. Please explain sir! (voted off)
I wonder if they pay extra to everyone who tells a sob story or maybe they base who stayed in Hollywood before our votes by the sad stories. Hmmmmmmmm……
Andrew Garcia - “Give me shelter” I’m thinking of my mac n cheese. Why? Well for one cause I made it for my daughter. See I’m sick and can barely talk. Apparently I can’t taste either cause I hate mac n cheese but I ate all of mine. Why else am I thinking of my mac n cheese while he is singing? I’m sorry I love his voice and personality but I’m bored. The end was better but dayum. Again Ellen WTF!!! His best yet??? Why is she a judge? Karen, Simon is right you do take it too literally you can’t expect them to act like mcjagger hell then you will say how dare they try to be someone their not. And yes I agree on him getting mixed criticism it does not help!
Katie Stevens - she is in a party dress. No story to make you cry here. “Wild horses” suits her older voice. I was worried she would stay in her chair but nope she got up. At first I didn’t think it would be any good but I liked it. Kara it’s never technically perfect with any of them! I don’t agree with Simon that she didn’t connect with the second half I think that’s where she really did.
Tim Urban - poor kid his parents admitted his sisters treated him like a doll “Under my thumb” hmmm it’s not bad, not great. I’m not sure what I think of him yet. Regge version bizzare Randy? I dunno about bizzare. So far he is the only one to change it at all. And Ellen so taking you to the beach is bad? I wonder if the judges even know what they want out of these people. Im not saying he was great but….. Unfortunatly I have no other words.
Siobhan Magnus - “Paint it black” nice I like how she started different on the steps. That barely looks like her. interesting song choice. damn most of it was great. And so far the only one to really put on a show.
Lee Dewyze - Ryan do you really have nothing better to talk to him about than I went to the website of the paint store you worked at. Do you know what color snugglepuss is?
“Beast a burden” awww nice. Suits his voice. He got into the song and made me wanna….. Never mind…. He didn’t sound like mcjagger but he shouldn’t and damn it was good. Ellen expected more? What the he’ll did her and Karen want? Simon thought it was safe and forgettable compared to others? Uhhhh not many others! If he let’s go I think I might fall in love lol well with his voice anyway.
Paige Miles - “Honkey tonk woman” some of it I can barely hear her other parts sounded real good. She walked around but kept doing this chicken thing with her head it drove me nuts. Ellen I noticed she is “struggling” with her voice. I think since I also have laryngitis I did notice and thought it before they mentioned it.
Aaron Kelly - “Angie” he started on the steps too. He has a good voice. He just doesn’t wow me much. Maybe too slow of a song I dunno. I didn’t feel as much as Kara apparently. He was good though.
Crystal Bowersox - “You can’t always get what you want” I love her version of it. She sings so effortlessly. Loved it. Ellen you stole my words lol
Who do I think could go? Casey, Andrew, Lacey, Katie or Tim heck maybe even Michael. We shall see.

Idol Afterthoughts – Guys Week 3
Mar 11th
I’m finally watching on DVR. I’m not exited this year to watch but hopefully the guys will get me going.
Lee Dewyze - I think he did good with it. Just doesn’t suit his voice type. Still love him. Seems the judges thought it was better than I did. Except Simon, we tend to agree alot.
Alex Lambert - it didn’t sound like he changed much of anything but he sounded good. Suited his voice and did Randy say it was too fast? Is he nuts?I’m getting bored with all this slow shit. (voted off poor guy was in tears)
Tim Urban - he doesn’t have a bad voice. He just doesn’t excite me. At least he hit his notes this week tho they weren’t that hard. Ellen stay in your seat it wasn’t that good. It wasn’t bad either……
Andrew Garcia - not many men can take on a womans song but I think this guy can sing most anything and make it sound good. But…. Yes there us a but… It was good not great. Still love him. Randys comment was right on that it sounded like it had 3 notes.
Casey James - I don’t know the song he sang to compare but it sounded good. Randy sees him in another light but come on they tell people to play how they see themselves. The judges continually contradict themselves.
They keep saying they don’t see a spark in the contestants. Yeah neither do I. Really I wonder if they think they should have picked other people.
Aaron Kelly - omg what happened to this kid? He seems so nervous and just like last week the begining sounded aweful. I don’t know the song at all but yeah no way. Sounded good towards the end but man you can’t keep screwing up the begining. Randy pretty much said what I did but better and shorter. It’s an indication that I type this as I watch it lol
Simon your awesome! Exactly a problem I have with the judges this year telling the 16 year olds they shouldn’t sing older songs. That’s right Simon that’s rubish! All he said is how I feel they are confusing them!! Thank you Simon for stating it.
Todrick Hall - dude you are NOT a Queen type of singer and he picked a more upbeat song but I think his ego is bigger than his voice the way he presents himself. Different I guess. I agree with Ellen that he should have stuck with the gospel theme for the entire song and maybe I would have thought it was better. Broadway singer, hmmm Simon you might be onto something. And yes he is the only one to “perform”. (voted off)
Michael Lynche - I liked his style with this song. Usually that song makes me wanna cry for some reason…. Hmmmm I recall it playing during something in a movie…… It will come to me eventually where I remember it from…… But he has a good voice and livened it up just a bit. Is that song supposed to be livened up? Kara cried???? Yup all over Simon too lol I seriously doubt he’ll be voted off. I agree best of the night. He should have received that hug from a judge.
Well results show is on during Survivor so thank god for DVR!
Uh oh a Pens game too tomorrow night. I’m in trouble!

Idol Afterthoughts – Girls Week 3
Mar 10th
So here we are again its Idol time. Lets see what my thoughts are why dont we…
Katie Stevens- they want her to sing younger so she sings a Kelly Klarkson song. Girl stick to what your good at and your voice is better at cause that wasn’t it. Ellen doesn’t know music if you ask me telling her it was a good song choice. Karen told her she doesn’t know who she is but ummm you keep telling her to sing other crap. At least Simon recocognized that they gave her that conflicting advice.
Siobhan Magnus - I think it was good for the most part. Suited her voice. I think she could sing just about anything really. Simon said what?
Ok so Simon has a slight point… They are all mostly singing slow songs and it’s driving me a bit nuts. Makes it a tad boring.
Lacey Brown - I love this girls eyes. They come through the screen at you. She has a good voice and didn’t really screw it up but another slow boring song. Simon said exactly what I was thinking! But he probably said it a little better than I did here.
Katelyn Epperly - awww she didn’t sing all of it well and yet another boring song with an added boring performance! That’s right the audience didn’t boo the judges for a reason. They noticed too. (voted off)
Di Di Benami - oh yeah I love what she changed in this song and her voice really suited it! Just awesome in my book. Haha Simon gave a look like he was gonna say something bad he is soo good at that.
Paige Miles - sorry girl out of tune and boring as shit. Randys laugh kills me you know when he didn’t like it. I think she is definetly gone after that. Oh lord she mentioned Micheal Jackson.
Crystal Bowersox - this girl will be in the top no problem. She has a great voice, picks good songs and doesn’t screw them up. Like Simon said it’s hers to loose. It’s damn true no one can top her week to week.
Lilly Scott - she has a unique voice but I don’t think she knows what to do with it. Again boring.
What the he’ll is with the contestants this year?
To the judges… Whatever. Sometimes I think Simon is the only one that doesn’t wear a hearing aid. (voted off and she looked shocked as hell like she had it in the bag against a 16 yr old)
Guys tomorrow night, we shall see what happens. I’m getting bored with all but 3-4 people in all.

Idol Afterthoughts – Girls Week2
Mar 4th
Crystal bowersox - love her. Love her hair! How did she get it like that? Simon you finally get it.
Haeley Vaughn - your cute and I’m sorry but the lisp just doesn’t work for me at all in a singer. Yeah yell all you want people but I wanna see who really will buy a cd from her and actually listen to it over and over. They will root for her cause they feel for her.
Back in the playing field Lacey Brown? Did the girls miss all the major pitch issues???? I like her but yeah needs work.
I guess I’m gonna have more comments on the girls cause I’m typing as I watch lol DVR mind you so no commercials yay
Katie Stevens - not bad tho a tad karioki and not too exciting. Quit telling her to sing young I mean if you want them to sing particular songs then just frigging pick them for them.
Didi Benami - great voice. Song started out ok and rest wasn’t bad but not what I expected to hear from her. Too low.
Michelle Delamore - I’m sorry I don’t like what she did to this song by Creed. Just….. No. And some judges must not have listened well. What the hell.
What happened to the talent the top 24 is supposed to have?I don’t remember them needing so much help in past years. And I don’t think the judges are consistent. Some people don’t change a song up enough some too much. Some sing too old some it’s ok if they do.
Lilly Scott - I like her voice but the song just did nothing for me tonight. The judges loved it though, so I guess I’m just crazy.
Katelyn Epperly - little pitchy but ok. I like what she did with the song. Ellen proved she doesn’t listen with her guitar comment. And now they can’t sing slow songs?
Paige Miles - she didn’t make it her own at all but watch the judges will love her. Ellen get the earplugs out of your ears. The guys make sense and the girls I was right about. Paige who?
Siobhan Magnus - I didn’t see that kinda voice coming out of her with that type of song. I like her. Randy said it, “It was dope”.
So that’s it for tonight. It’s in Americas hands now. We shall see…….

Idol Afterthoughts – Guys Week2
Mar 3rd
Jermaine Sellers – horrible song choice and no u didn’t say u rock a onsie really? Gross.
Tim Urban – wow needs work but so much better. I was pretty shocked. Heck I was just as shocked as he looked when he didn’t get voted off last week.
Lee Dewyze – just awesome is all I can say. I’m pulling for him big time!
Andrew Garcia – while it’s gotta be hard to out do straight up from hollywood I think it’s a shame they are gonna keep comparing him to it making it seem like everything else is crap now. It’s not I love his voice.
I left many people out but that doesn’t mean they sucked it just means they didn’t stand out to me. Afterall it’s my blog
