For some reason I couldn’t stop photographing them.  The days I took photo’s of them the folder for that day is pretty full.

Unfortunately the hamster didn’t make it in any photo’s as she passed away on the 18th   She wasn’t sick or anything that we noticed.  We haven’t the slightest clue why she died.

Day 50 – February 19, 2011

I caught the cat right in a yawn.  It was awesome!  Animals can be difficult to photograph just staring at you as they tend to move suddenly, let alone get something neat like this.

I had to keep this photo a bit bigger so that you can see what she was attempting to eat with her sharp teeth.  We had a blast blowing bubbles at her!  She is a crazy dog!

The 1-3 inches of snow they called for turned out to be more like 6-8 inches.  This was my work parking lot.

This is what I actually ate.  It looked like puke and tasted like they tossed a cup of cut grass into the bowl.  It was so bland despite all the spices it appeared to have.

Day 56 – February 25, 2011

Princess being………. a princess.  She is just a fat cat that lays around.  Can’t complain.

I am warning ahead of time that this week I have barely taken photo’s already.  I took photo’s and video of my newphews hockey game and couldn’t find the camera battery charger until last night.  So that’s 3 days of no photo’s so far. I will put some other pics in it’s place but haven’t decided what yet.

Day 43 – February 12, 2011

My youngest daughter made this cake.  There is actually a funny story that goes with this cake.

I had a box of Halloween cake I got on clearance after Halloween.  It doesn’t look Halloweeny does it?  Read on.

It started out with me reminding her to follow the directions on the box.  Are you sure you can do it by yourself?

My 11 year old can make pancakes, eggs, grilled cheese and has made cake before.  I was posative she would be fine.

Do you think it occurred to me to question her when she though it was odd that the box said 6 eggs?  Nope.

About 15 minutes after that comment she yelled, “Mom, you better come in here.”

It’s not as thick as a cake batter should be.  I thought for a minute and then asked her, what did you do?

You could see she was ready to cry and said she didn’t know.  She insisted she followed the directions.

Problem was she followed the directions for TWO cake boxes for a Halloween pumpkin cake.  So good thing I had a fix and had another box to just add to it for valentines.

The plus is that it was more moist than any box cake we had ever made!

Day 44 – February 13, 2011

This day my youngest and I went Ice Skating at the South Park Ice Rink with my sister and her kids.  This is my newphew and my daughter.  He is a skating pro!  It’s amazing what little kids can do.  It does help that he is on a hockey team.

This was the day the one boss sent me downtown to file some cases for work.  No one wanted to go down with me nor drive to downtown so I got to leave work early and go home when I was done.

I ride this accordian bus everyday.  They do have some interesting sayings on them.

This one says, “Parking too much? Don’t make faces Hop on the bus plenty of spaces”

Day 48 – February 17, 2011

This was the day I had to take 6 buses.  I started with two first thing in the morning to get to the doctors.  Two to get to work and two to get home.  Hubby and I both had a doctor appointment so we stopped at Subway and got something to eat and I took a few pictures before I went off to work and he went home.

My oldest daughter, Autumn, had a school performance this night.  All my photos are from the performance.  I had to leave work early, take two buses home, get ready, and take another bus to her school.   It was nice though.

My dog is crazy.  When she plays with toys, tortures the cat or tortures humans she gets pretty psycho.  Sometimes I wonder about her.

I used the sports setting on my camera to get a shot of the lights in the Squirrel Hill Tunnel to actually show the lights instead of a ray of light.

Day 42 – February 11, 2011

My mom came into work this day so I was showing her how close my camera zooms.  We were in the showroom on the other side of the room.  She loves it but I couldn’t convince her to take it on vacation with her.  Electronics intimidate her.

This day I went shopping with my sister.   I was sick and probably should have been in bed but she was going out of town this week so I had to get food.

This photo was taken on our way home from the Waterfront.  It was taken through the front windshield so you can see the water drops but it gave a neat effect I think.

I spent the majority of this day laying on the couch watching the X Games so there weren’t many photo opportunities.  I did manage to catch my puppy in a yawn.  I had to lighten this picture up as the original was too dark.

I stayed home from work today and got some much needed rest.  I finally started to feel better that evening and made stuffed peppers for the Tomato Bowl contest, which I have yet to blog the recipe.  I need to try and catch up before the game tomorrow.

I had already taken this day off work to attend a special lunch at my youngest daughters school.  This picture was taken on my cell phone.   She eats lunch at school almost every day and here is an example of why.  I know she is getting a balanced meal.

I went back to work and had alot to catch up on.  I also had a visit from my co-workers dog again.

This was the last step of a long story that started with my daughter playing with the hamster through the cage opening.  To make a long story short the hamster jumped out, we chased it, caught it, chased some more, we put it inside the ball, the dog chased it.

Day 23 – January 23, 2011

Today I must admit I took not one picture.  So here is a picture from the day before I took on my cell phone.

This is not my cart.  This cart belonged to the lady in front of me.  Notice there is nothing in the cart.  Notice how the belt is half empty.  What you can’t notice is how pissed off I was.  The annoyance in front of me did not move that cart until she was completely done with her order.  WTF lady!

Day 24 – January 24, 2011

This is Bob.  We bought him 2 1/2 years ago on vacation.  He was only about 2 inches big.

He is now a good 5 inches and refuses to eat the last 3 fish I bought him a year ago.  They live in his tank and they all continue to grow as if I feed them miracle grow.

Day 25 – January 25, 2011

After work I met my daughter in downtown Pittsburgh this day.  We were in search of a candy shop that led us to Station Square.  I had every intention on using a photo of the ice on the river as my photo of the day until I took this picture.  I might be a bit biased because I am her mother but I think she takes great photos.  Ummm Hot Topic if your reading this she would be great in your catalog

Ugh, the bus.  One of the buses I ride is the EBA, which is on the Martin Luther King Busway in the East Hills.

You know your in a bad area when the bus stop has an Emergency Button if you need help.

This candle is at an undisclosed location in my house.  For me it represents the peace and quiet I need to give myself so that hopefully I feel better tomorrow.

BONUS

I decided to share one of my ice river pictures as a bonus.  I have been wanting to take one ever since I saw the ice when going over a bridge here in Pittsburgh.  This was taken at Station Square, which you can see in the reflection of the water as well.

Mind you the outdoors is covered in snow these days but with public transportation as my means home I see more in my day.

I take two buses to get home from work.  The 2nd bus comes 3 minutes after my first bus gets me downtown. I have to walk 6 blocks in that time, if my 1st bus is even on time. If I miss the 2nd bus, because I don’t feel like killing myself running, I get the next bus which gives me time to take some photo’s.

I had bacon on the brain.  I cooked some bacon, rolled it up, placed on a plate and drizzled syrup all over it.  I took some pics and then ate it all.  So bad for me, but OHHH so good!

This is our hamster Sunshine.

I cleaned her cage since the 11 year old she belongs to has not.

I know I should make her do it, but it was late, she was sleeping and I said to hell with it.

I know, right?  She is beautiful.  A relative of mine has one that looks just like her.  Her dog bad babies.

My co-worker purchased one of said babies and Lila here visits me at work.

I get to dog sit for her and don’t mind one bit!  She is uber soft and completely adorable.

This is one of my trips downtown where I had to wait for the bus.  I was with my son and his friend that day and both of us dorks were taking pictures.

I love the tops to buildings that are like this.  For some reason I do have a fixation on tops of buildings in general.  I realized I have many of them.

It snowed.  Mother Nature, you can stop now!

I believe that strip of road on my street was thanks to a neighbor with a plow.   The city almost never does my block!

I found myself waiting awhile for the bus again today.

Day 8 – January 8, 2011

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!  This was the entrée course of a 4 course dinner.  My work party was at Andrews Steak House inside the Rivers Casino.  Expensive, but I didn’t pay for it and YUMMY!

This was taken on the way to Giant Eagle in Southside.  I have no real reason why except it was one of only two photos taken that day.  Day two seems to be a difficult one for me.  Day 2 is Sunday.  It is my lazy day.  I don’t expect anything out of any day 2 for the entire year LOL

On the way home from work this day my ride home needed to stop at Lowe’s in the Waterfront.  We passed by an alley way where he told me to take a pic of the view.  It wound up as my favorite of the day.

This is a day I had no ride home from work.  This is also the day it snowed it’s ass off in Pittsburgh.  I took a bus and got myself a new phone while downtown and met up with my children.  It actually turned out to be not that bad of a day despite the snow and cold.

This was taken on my way home from work.  The co-worker that drives me home thought it looked pretty neat and suggested it.

I have yet to learn how to make photo’s look better with a software program.  If you have suggestions on what software to use and some tips that would be great!

Even though I didn’t take a photo on day 2 I want 365 photo’s at the end of the year.  So I will pick a runner up from the week to showcase……………

This is Chris playing the guitar.  Every photo I took had trailers in it.  I had a hard time taking a picture as he kept moving his hands and it was dark in the room.  I don’t remember the setting I used to get it brighter, no flash was used as I didn’t want to blind him.

As you can see I have no theme.  I had a hard enough time taking photo’s every day considering I am at home and work so it should be interesting doing 365 days.  Some days I took 5 photo’s, some I took 40 photo’s.  I choose the best one of the day.
