Beach Me
I started my blog after our last two vacations. For the last two years we have went to Hilton Head Island, SC. If you haven’t visited, you must. It’s not some spend all your money going to amusement parks and what not kinda place. It’s a relax and enjoy the beach and we have some activities and shopping if you want them kinda place. You could spend all your money there, but you really get something for it. Weather its items to take home or an experience like you can’t get back home. But it’s a place where you don’t feel like you have to spend money. You can enjoy a vacation.
I fell so much in love with it there I have been trying to convince my family to move there. It hasn’t been easy.
Mmmmm just thinking about it I can smell the ocean when were driving and get close to the island. If I close my eyes I can hear the ocean, I can feel the sand in my toes. Sometimes I actually sit outside my house on a warm windy day and imagine being there. Yeah I know I obsess.
I took pictures on vacation for family photo’s. When I photograph for my blog I take different types of pictures but let’s see what I can come up with from last years trip to make you understand.
We hit the beach before checking in, considering we arrive a few hours before were allowed to check in.
Boys enjoy making holes.
My youngest enjoys covering up in sand.
We enjoy shelling when the tide is low. All these wonderful pools of water to see creatures and loads of shells are washed ashore.
We like to eat out on vacation. It’s my vacation too I don’t like cooking every day.
Private beach access is awesome!
Nature is beautiful………….
Some scenery around town:
I was on vacation last year and realized someone I went to high school with lived there. We spent an evening drinkin and havin a good time and met some of his friends
The sky is just beautiful:
You can get almost anywhere on the island by bike, which is what we did the majority of the week.
As we crossed over the bridge to leave the island I shed a tear, okay I cried. It’s not that I don’t wanna leave vacation. I wanna leave home. I realize I would have to have a normal life and work and all that jazz. But I wanna do it there. I’ve wanted to move back down south ever since we left Savannah, GA 15 years ago.
I haven’t booked a trip for this year yet. Finances just aren’t good and my being laid off didn’t help at all. I am really trying to scrimp and find a way to make it happen. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
